Executive Recruitment Asia has been retained by a well-established tech start-up company to assist them with the recruitment of a Senior Game Artist. Our client is looking for a passionate and seasoned Senior Game Artist to join their Art & Design Team. You will be the driving and guiding creative force as an industry ‘disruptor’. It is essential that this role is office based, so the candidate will need to be based in Melbourne, Australia or willing to relocate
Responsibilities
- A distinguished portfolio, demo and sketch book. We want to see what you got!
- The primary creator and concept driver of all visual content.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of Game Designers, Artists, Sound Designers and Software Engineers
- Working with Game Designers and other stakeholders to implement the team\'s vision of the game.
- Collaborating with the rest of the art team regarding best practices and processes relating to game development.
- Contributing to process improvements to increase productivity and the visual quality of the games.
- Keeping up to date with new graphic techniques, trends and styles in the industry.
Requirements
- Degree in Graphic Design
- An expert illustrator and concept artist
- You demonstrate a high competency in art fundamentals (lighting, composition, perspective, texturing, colours, etc.)
- High level digital skills with Photoshop and Illustrator
- You have competency in After Effects and Spine experience
- Experience in various themes and genres
- 3+ years of Illustration experience in a similar or related capacity with some digital online experience
- Proven pipeline experience. Asset organization and maintenance
- Experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Slot game knowledge is a plus, but it is all about your Portfolio and sketch book
- Scripting experience is a plus
- Some experience with Google Suite, Slack, Airtable and Intercom
- Australian work rights are preferred
