Job Overview

On behalf of one of the largest B2B FinTech company in the world, Executive Recruitment Asia is searching for a Commercial Director. The business has been serving more than 30,000 customers ranging from small business owners to enterprise treasurers to educational institutions to financial institutions to law firms to NGOs throughout their history. They focus strongly in designing services as to enhance the customer experiences and seamlessly power their global commerce needs.   The Commercial Director will be responsible for leading the current sales, business development and account management team, whilst ensuring the strategy for continued growth is delivered and executed.   The role must be based in the client’s office in Singapore and frequent travel will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and execution of the regional sales strategy for the Hong Kong and Singapore markets with primary responsibility for leading new client acquisition and growth.
  • You will be recruiting, coaching, motivating and inspiring talented sales teams in Hong Kong and Singapore to ensure they achieve the results and overall business objectives.
  • As a member of the Senior Management team, you will be contributing to the strategic and operational goals of the business.
  • In collaboration with your team, you will identify, source, and develop new business opportunities as you look to maximise profitability while maintaining a focus on the customer.
  • You can play a large role in defining the future of business in the APAC market.
  • Some international travel will be required for this role.

Requirements

  • Previously working in a senior or director level Sales, Commercial or Business Development role within the Fintech or Financial Services industry.
  • You are required to be commercially astute with knowledge of business needs and concerns as well as the commercial impact of global news and events; as well as to have an eye for identifying new market opportunities.
  • Proven record in Sales, ideally from business-to-business environment in foreign exchange or the financial services industry, preferably from within a global organisation
  • Experience in designing, implementing and executing Go-To-Market sales strategies.
  • Previous experience of lean and agile working methodologies is also desirable.
