Job Overview

Executive Recruitment Asia is working with a globally recognised Online Media business to find them a Senior Project Manager in the Asia-Pacific region to join the centralised Project Management Office team. The role will suit a passionate self-starter looking for a new challenge in an energetic, dynamic company. Reporting to the Head of PMO, you will work closely with Tech and Business teams on various projects, providing status updates to stakeholders and management on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assigned projects and drive from inception to completion.
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Identify the resources needed to reach project objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Prepare project budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
  • Compile and manage the expected documents surrounding project delivery such as, project plan, action log, risk log and status reports.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and maintain project expectations, also providing regular status updates.
  • Ensure projects stay on track and deliver against the expected timelines and budget.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers, assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Deliver projects in line with PMO guidelines, utilising industry best practices, techniques and standards.
  • Monitor progress and manage change as needed.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support on any other PMO tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Proven project management experience.
  • Experience working within a technology environment is a plus.
  • Proven experience delivering projects utilising a range of methodologies (scrum/agile/waterfall).
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, (or equivalent qualifications/experience).
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Preferably proficient in both the Japanese and English languages.
