Executive Recruitment Asia is partnering with a global award-winning payments pioneer that powers many cutting-edge payment programs, including digital banks, e-wallets, and global Fintech companies and is now spanning 160 clients in 60 countries, using over 150 currencies. As a Lead Business Development Manager, you need to have the passion and drive to independently source, nurture and close opportunities, backed by strong in region pre-sales support. As the processing services and solutions behind leading fintech unicorns, the brand strength is growing so you will increasingly benefit from solid inbound leads. However, you will also need to aggressively tap and grow your own network to hit your KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing (industry networking, trade shows, associations, partner engagements), to increase lead generation, drive high customer conversion rates, and close prospects.
- You will also closely engage the country teams with our channel partners such as Visa and Mastercard, to stay updated of new developments and opportunities.
- Sell the platform and solution to Fintech, Banks, and Program Managers in target verticals, such as: Digital Banking, Multi-currency, Crypto, B2B, eWallet, Retail, Wearables, etc.
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual business sales targets as set by the company.
- Develop, track and progress in detail your sales prospects and all engagements in Salesforce.
- Accurately complete sales documentation which supports the sale of services, including quotations, proposals and tenders (with pre-sales consultant support).
- Identify and maximize revenue opportunities with each prospect and prioritise profitable clients.
- Build and maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and update internal teams of key developments or requirements (Leadership, Marketing and Sales Teams).
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships with key prospects and clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global matrix organisation.
- To work and contribute within the broader sales team, creating and promoting ideas to assist colleagues in the achievement of set objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills complemented by confident presentation style.
- An ability to grasp new technologies, in addition to demonstrated interest in our business.
Requirements
- A track record of scaling business and selling B2B solutions in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.
- An excellent working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Travel to your assigned territory to engage prospects or to regional/global company events (as post Covid travel resumes).
- Sales experience with demonstrated success at networking, setting appointments, pipeline building, negotiation, closing solution sales and hitting targets.
- Ideally, proven experience in payments or issuer processing.
- Successful track record of achieving sales quotas with tenacity and persistence.
- Excellent English communication skills; written, verbal and IT literate.
- Motivated self-starter able to work independently.
- Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise under pressure.
- Very good listening and communication skills.
- Strong affinity to both sales and financial technology.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
