Job Overview
Executive Recruitment Asia is working with a globally recognised media business to find them an SEO Assistant to join a fantastic team of professionals in Japan. The SEO Assistant will be responsible for executing SEO strategies in a form of onsite and offsite optimization, writing SEO blogs, link-building campaigns, and content outreach. This role is to be based in Japan, Australia or remotely within Asia Pacific region.Â
Responsibilities
- Ensuring content tasks and requests received are completed in a professional and timely manner and to a high-quality standard.
- Collaborating with cross-department teams to develop, implement and adapt content strategies in line with overall product strategies and audience needs.
- Working together, and regularly communicating with, fellow three Japanese team members and other teams to ensure all stakeholders are working together to achieve common goals for each website.
- Conducting SEO analysis, innovating, and always being updated on SEO related blogs and updates.
- Analyse keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research, manage keyword rank tracking and reporting to drive the most valuable traffic.
- Think based on numbers and sales targets.
- Building an intelligence around the Japanese audiences of our sites through initiatives such as user surveys.
- Proactively identifying website issues and/or potential improvements and raising these with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensuring through regular content audits that the conversion funnel from our site to an operator’s site is always updated, relevant, and optimal.
- Proactively brainstorming innovative ideas for engaging, user-centric content, collaborating with fellow Japanese team members and other teams to develop these ideas and driving the implementation of these ideas through communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Other SEO-related duties as required.
Requirements
- Hands-on SEO experience (SEO consulting firm or inhouse).
- Experience with analytics platforms like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Functional knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- To be a highly-motivated, solution-driven individual with the ability to work in an efficient, mature, and professional manner.
- Great time-management skills and the ability to work to deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong creative skills and the initiative and drive to brainstorm and implement fresh ideas to improve existing content and create new engaging, user-centric content.
- Planning and achieving quantitative goals.
- Experience in SEO writing, Direction, Producing web services, and Development direction (preferred).
- Excellent command of Japanese (Conversational fluency in English is highly regarded).
