Job Overview

ERA is excited to be partnering with a global leader in the Sports Wagering and Media world who is looking to hire an experienced Sales focused Commercial Director to be located remotely in Southeast Asia. As the Commercial Director of Sales you will lead a multi-award winning B2B sports media business to assist in the management of existing, highly successful relationships in Southeast Asia and to drive growth in the region. The role will involve managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth in the sports industry. This is a remote Director-level position, reporting to the Executive Team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to Southeast Asian sports betting landscape.
  • Manage existing accounts with Tier 1 operators and identify new business opportunities across all market tiers.
  • Utilise market research and data analysis to identify growth opportunities and optimise pricing and partnership structures.
  • Set ambitious goals, hold the team accountable for exceeding them, and foster a results-oriented sales culture.
  • Contribute a deep understanding of the regional sports betting market and leverage successful partnerships.
  • Identify and develop innovative solutions to address industry challenges and create competitive advantages.
  • Navigate complex negotiations and secure win-win partnerships that drive mutual growth and profitability.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales within the sports wagering or sports media industry.
  • Deep understanding of the Southeast Asian sports wagering market, including key players and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with senior executives.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills, adept at developing and executing data-driven sales strategies.
  • Fluency in English is required and/or Bahasa, Indonesian, Melayu, Thai, Vietnamese, Mandarin would be advantageous.
