Job Overview
ERA is excited to be partnering with an exciting investment business who are looking to hire an experienced Financial Director to be located out of their new Singapore office, to join a growing investment arm of a group of global businesses. The Financial Director will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations. This position requires a professional with experience in financial management within the technology, investment management or Fintech sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company goals and objectives.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with executive leadership.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement and cost optimisation.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to provide insights into business performance and trends.
- Present financial information to executive leadership and provide recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards in Singapore.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities for audits and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with tax advisors to develop tax strategies that optimise the company tax position.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership and department heads.
- Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop finance team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Masters degree or CPA/CA qualification preferred.
- Fluent in both written and spoken French and English is essential.
- Additional certifications such as CFA or CMA are a plus.
- Proven track record of financial leadership within the technology or financial services industry.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the financial services industry in Singapore.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
