Job Overview
ERA are excited to be working in partnership with a leading Multi-Media company who is looking for an SEO Manager to support our APAC sites. In this role, you will be working closely with the Japanese team. This role is to be based within APAC or other location (working within APAC time zone). The head office is based in Tokyo. The SEO Manager APAC is the regional leader of SEO operations and strategy in the APAC. The SEO Manager is responsible for the regional SEO team, their results in terms of performance as well as their knowledge and productivity. With and under the supervision of the Head of Organic Growth, the SEO Manager will elaborate the SEO strategy per market and asset, ensuring that these are adhered to and constantly adapted and effective for achieving the results. As the leader of the regional teams, training and workflow optimisation are also the direct responsibility of the SEO Manager. Moreover, the role entails constant relationships with the local stakeholders and with the Head of Organic Growth to ensure that results, blockers or any other relevant information are reported promptly and fruitfully.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the strategy for the APAC region as well as KPI setting for market/assets. Be accountable for a successful strategy implementation by the whole team.
- Ensure top rankings for high-intent keywords so as to have a massive flow of valuable monetizable traffic to the assets.
- Stay updated on SEO trends and scout successful practices in the region as well as in the gaming vertical (gambling, sports betting, esports).
- Be aware of persisting market interests and new trends when it comes to searching in the region and in the vertical (gambling, sports betting, esports).
- Lead the SEO team in ordinary activity as well as in special audits/projects. Be accountable for their performance and professional growth.
- Collaborate with the cross-geo teams and other SEO Managers for SEO synergies.
- Collaborate with non-SEO stakeholders (ex: product owners, product managers, developers, commercial) to ensure that every change and initiative favours SEO in terms of achievement potential. At the same time, make certain that the SEO team does every effort to contribute to the success of other stakeholders’ projects.
- Document changes and report on results constantly to the Head of Organic Growth.
- Monitor the usage of freelancers and their performance (where needed).
- Be informed and analyse other activities and streaming of traffic to initiate synergies for SEO benefits.
- Analytical tools and SEO Tools.
- Have a sharp eye for monetisation opportunities and user behaviour improvement on optimised sites.
Requirements
- Managing team performance including conducting performance reviews and regular 1-1 meetings.
- Leading by example by delivering positive results and being a visible business ambassador
- Communicating effectively both to the team, to the peers and to the higher management, ensuring that the flow of information is constant and functional to steer the strategy appropriately.
- Collaborating with future recruitment and onboarding processes of your team and ensuring that the team is growing constantly, according to the company’s needs and personal inclinations.
- At least 3 years of experience in SEO marketing, preferably in gambling/sports betting verticals
- Experience in APAC markets (highly desirable).
- Team managing experience (highly desirable).
- Experience working with a variety of SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console and CMS products such as WordPress.
- English proficiency.
- Japanese proficiency (highly desirable).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to seek out business value.
- Experience in PPC/Social (desirable).
- Experience in funnel analysis (desirable).
- Ability to work in APAC time zone (Japan preferable).
