Job Overview
ERA is excited to be partnering with an experienced tech-savvy gaming business armed with more than 10+ years of expertise in the online gaming industry, their main goal is to continuously deliver a highly dynamic and entertaining experience in the online gaming world. As the DevOps System Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and stability of the companys computer systems and supporting public cloud products. Essential skills required are, proficiency in Linux/Unix, scripting languages like shell or Python, and familiarity with tools such as ELK for logging, as well as a strong grasp of common open-source software like Nginx, MySQL, RocketMQ, and Kafka. A comprehensive understanding of network security and experience with monitoring systems like Zabbix, Nagios, and Cacti are preferred. Additionally, proficiency in Docker, K8S, and the automation of microservices deployment and maintenance is expected, coupled with a genuine passion for technology, resilience, and adaptability, ensuring successful task completion.
Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance to detect faults and anomalies
- Promptly identify and resolve system failures
- Implement and maintain operational strategies, procedures, and controls
- Perform performance evaluations and optimisations to enhance system efficiency and stability
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the implementation of best practices across the organisation
- Manage access control and user permissions
- Stay informed about emerging system operation tools and trends
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher, with more than 5 years of experience in supporting public cloud-related products
- Fluent in spoken and written Chinese
- Proficient in the use of Linux/Unix, familiar with Linux/Unix system-related commands, with more than 2 years of experience in Linux/Unix platform operation and maintenance
- Proficient in at least one scripting language such as shell, Python, etc.
- Familiarity with the ELK logging system, with preference given to those with extensive experience in log collection and analysis
- Proficiency in the operation of common open-source software such as Nginx, MySQL, RocketMQ, Kafka, etc.
- Familiarity with network security knowledge and a certain understanding of internet security
- Familiarity with common monitoring systems such as Zabbix, Nagios, Cacti, etc., is preferred
- Proficiency in Docker, K8S, as well as the automation deployment and maintenance of microservices systems
- Passion for technology, a practical and flexible approach, the ability to quickly grasp new skills, and the ability to overcome difficulties to complete tasks
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with other IT teams.
